Send a confidential email that deletes itself

Some things shouldn't sit in someone's inbox forever: a contract, an ID, bank details. Inbox Hero Confidential sends a link instead of the content. The recipient proves it's them, reads it, and after the views or time you set, it's gone.

How it works

Why the link is safer than the email

Each recipient's copy is encrypted with its own key, and that key is never stored by Inbox Hero: it lives only in the link. A copy of our database or disks alone can't read your message. Expiry is a hard delete, not a hidden flag.

Confidential is included in your Inbox Hero trial. It works from your Inbox Hero app; the recipient needs nothing but a browser.

On an iPhone Duo? Inbox Hero uses both screens: your inbox on one, the email and a reply drafted in your voice on the other. See it on the Duo.

Frequently asked questions

How do I send a confidential email?

In Inbox Hero, write your message, choose how many views and how long it lasts, and send. The recipient confirms a code to open it, and it is permanently deleted when the views or time run out.

Is a self-destructing email really deleted?

Yes. When it expires, the encrypted message and its attachments are deleted, and the key was never stored by us in the first place.

Does the recipient need Inbox Hero?

No. They open the link in any browser and confirm a code sent to their email.
